SYNOPSIS

AZUSA’S WILLIAM SEYMOUR - THE MIRACLE WORKER is a fascinating story of Christendom and Pentecostalism's most unsung hero, William Seymour.

William Seymour, upon invitation to pastor a new church in Los Angeles, came expecting this new congregation to embrace his “hot new education” concerning “THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT”, but instead he was pad-locked out of the church after his first sermon. This rejection resulted in him meeting new friends that shared his passion and his deep desire to experience “The Empowerment of the Holy Spirit”. William taught them how to pray and seek God for this newly found phenomenon. The unusual healings that took place in their prayer meeting ended up exploding into tremendous new growth, causing an uproar and disturbance in the city of Los Angeles.

After being chased by the police, they rented a building that resembled a stable. Soon, a massive spiritual awakening erupted at Azusa Street. A multitude of ethnic groups were in attendance. Those dressed in elaborate attire and those in rags all hit the dust of humility upon entering the Azusa service. No one that was touched by the Shekinah Glory left unclean or with disease.

The movie gives an account of regular people who were a part of Azusa Street Revival that were used by God to advance the Gospel all over the world. Through the special effects, the audience will see mighty miracles, signs, and wonders of God which vividly took place during this time.

WHY A FILM/DOCUMENTARY?

The executive producer opted for a film script with a documentary tone to meet the accelerated demands of a mass audience interested in streaming. This will not take way the goal of showing the movie in the theaters first.

A large studio with more than 8,000 screening rooms eliminated a rule, which was to leave a film showing in cinemas for 90 days. Now a film is only on the big screen for 17 days and then shown on streaming, which has the potential to reach 190 countries and billions in audience. This distribution flexibility favors the audience intended by the Azusa film executives, which is to reach an audience of more than 2 billion people.

BRIEF OF PHOTOGRAPHY

The scenes will have a lot of close-up details of conversations and selective preaching, making parallels with the art and peculiar expressions of the new Baptism in the Holy Spirit, experienced by members of the Azusa movement. The special effects of the miracles, signs and wonders demonstrating the Power and Glory of God, will be no less impactful than those of top Hollywood films.
